For those who are concerned about browser support – embrace progressive enhancement! Then get your clients to embrace it! While it may seem like a daunting task to educate clients, I have found that most of them are open to it (and I work in advertising). This old school thinking of pixel perfect design on older browsers has to end! Soon, most browsers will have nearly identical support for CSS3 so hopefully issues like this one won’t matter as much in the future.

Like others have said, seems good for simple websites. and ultimately could be useful for more complex ones.

But to me the browser support issue is the biggest issue.

Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any recommendations for rookie blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

We’re moving towards this now, however the biggest challenge is getting the designer to start coding.

This is a great step in my opinion, and a poor one in his.

He complains that he doesn’t have the freedom to do the designs he wants if it’s done within the browser while I enjoy the fact he has overlooked the job of trying to get his designs to *look* the same in the browser.

If you are more comfortable developing comps in the browser and your worried your customer will mistake it for the real thing, why not just use a handy screengrab plugin and then you can have all a tricked out comp for your client and a practically finished product in one smooth step?
