the css code generated by boks – I’ll never forget the first time I came across it. It was a beautiful piece of software, but that excess code almost ave me a heart attack.

@Tanveer: Those CSS files by default are compressed, not encrypted. It’s In Grid settings / Export. Uncheck and you will get the uncompressed CSS including comments. Or use Aptana Studio to autoformat the compressed CSS files to get them without comments.

Thank you very much for this informational post. I like many others, had it installed somehow on my system but did not new how useful this tool can be.
The one of the problems I am faced with is that whatever CSS files are generated by the BOKs are encrypted, would appreciate any word or a script to decode those encrypted CSS files.

Just to add that Bocks is available for linux too ;-) I use it since one year for wireframing quickly some one page layouts, or for begining a new site project.
i use bocks with pencil firefox extension and have quick result in a minutes.

I found Boks a few months ago by chance, the same way you did, and was surpsied at how little had been written about it (until now of course). I found it to be a great tool for ‘relearning’ CSS after a long break (and for learning Blueprint). It’s a big departure from the usual tools. Kudos on the article; both for the nice job, and for covering something that hasn’t been beaten to death elsewhere.
