This week has been all about branding and package design. We’ve gone over some tips for creating effective packaging and taken an in-depth view of the branding histories of Coca-Cola and Pepsi to see what we could learn about the power of a good brand.
We’ve separated the package designs into three categories: clever, quirky and beautiful. You can use each for a different kind of inspiration. This section contains product packaging and concepts that arose out of a good or unique idea that seems to work really well.
These packaging concepts may use custom sized boxes to enhance their design, and they may not even look like boxes!
Some, like Brooklyn Fare’s cups merely contain a witty headline. Others, such as VIM Popcorn are particularly innovative and present an old product in a new way.
The ideas here are different from the last section in that they’re not particularly good or bad so much as they are delightfully strange. From musical beer bottles to a perfume contain that looks like it came from space, these products are sure to get you thinking outside the box!
The final section is simply a showcase for good design. Whether you’re currently creating a website or a cereal box, there’s just a ton of quality design inspiration below in styles that are all over the board.
I particularly enjoy the handmade look of Motorman Chocolate Lager Beer and the clean stylings of Birano food jars.
