60+ Awesome UI Dribbbles

by on 28th October 2010 with 13 Comments

It’s been quite a while since we’ve done a “Shots of the Week” post so we thought we’d make up for it by bringing you a massive collection of user interface designs from Dribbble.

Use these shots as inspiration for color, textures, layouts and anything else you spot for your next application or website. Looking through such a great collection of inspiration can serve as a springboard for your own completely original work.

Definitely loving these shots. So much inspiration!! Now if only I could get a Dribble invite… (praying to the gods.. lol)

Looking through this, I find myself noticing what people did wrong or making critique more than I do feeling inspired. The majority of those dribbles looked like they should — incomplete or “missing elements” that otherwise really finish the composition. Dually, I’m feeling like there usability issues with a lot of the UI elements featured here.

I think my opinion is coming from seeing really strong UI examples on CSS-Tricks UI Pattern community posts, while this might serve as inspirational to some, I just see it how dribble probably meant it to be — an opportunity to critique less-than-perfect elements.

Otherwise, good eye for trendy design; hopefully someone will find this post as inspirational as you may have intended.

    I second Jon-Paul!

If the UX experts are here and if you all look at the detailing with visualizing the behaviour.. most of the above examples are with usability flaws.

But otherwise the design details and aesthetics are good.

    Thanks for sharing.

Jon Paul and Hitesh, what are the usability flaws that stand out?

  • http://www.tedgoas.com Ted Goas

@Jon Paul That’s one of the great things about dribbble: people help you catch the small details that you may have missed, be it slightly misaligned elements or an inaccurate vector button.

On another note, nice parting comment…
