The bold use of red on white is very effective and the simple black typeface used for the text works well. I particularly like the way the logo itself bleeds over where you expect it to end.

For a site dedicated to classic movies this hits the mark perfectly! The subtle detail is excellent, as is the colour palette. The consistency throughout the site is good as is the use of a star ratings system is muted colours.

Now that\'s how to keep things simple but still make an impact! Inverted examples of a letter based logo, the idea behind which could be more basic. The reversed \'R\' against the \'D\' has been made into a recognisable logo through the use of consistent design and commitment to an idea.

An excellent site for an antiques seller. The use of neutral colours allows the slideshow of fascinating antiques to flourish. The central logo is perfect and makes a good statement. It\'s also worth noting that the site continues to fascinate as you move downwards - using antique photography and simple descriptive text.

A bold black and white logo that even looks brilliant with the colours inverted! The clear readable typeface works well, while the use of the g helps the logo remain memorable. I really like the texture created by the dots and the way the fading of the background draws your eyes to the centre.

A simple but classy interface for a notes App. THe small custom icons are great and perfectly complement the classic note feel of the App. I find the purple tint a fascinating design twist on an otherwise functional interface.

An absolutely fascinating design for a business card! Using the art of origami these business cards for a telecommunications company are immediately recognisable and surely impossible to throw away! The red and black approach works brilliantly and the only downside I can see is how uncomfortable one of these might be in your pocket...

A good portfolio site that utilises a scrolling central display. The use of a photograph of the designer in the background is effective and makes a good statement. I particularly like the bold typeface and use of text throughout the site.

The designer whose site this is purports to make websites that \'function\' & \'sparkle\' and this one certainly does! The bold focal graphic and luxurious use of space combine and make it a joy to look around. I particularly like the way the site gradually draws you down the page.

This is an effective site for a Barbers that uses a cartoon style to give out a friendly vibe. I like the use of the two main figures as a focal point and the bold colours used on a sparse background. I do find the name of the barbers difficult to read, which could be clarified by the use of a simpler font, but the animated Barber Shop sign is a nice touch
