A super simple, yet beautifully formed design that works well to draw the eye and make a statement. I love the use of line and structure, it helps to give the design a sense of completeness.

A solid logo that uses colour and type thickness to make an impact.

A great example of interface design that makes an immediate impact. I love the use of little details, and the difference in textures.

Stylefish

A fascinating site for a design agency that goes by the name Stylefish. I like the consistent use of colour and strong sense of branding. It's bound to make you look twice, something that's relatively hard to do!

Mark by James Viola

A simple gorgeous example of an abstract logo mark. I love the chosen colour palette and the beautiful use of fading to emphasise the curvature of the mark. I particularly enjoy the vaguely confusing logic of the knot-like logo.

Date Selector

A strong example of a simple interface element. I like that a single colour has been chosen to emphasise this date selector, it helps to make a statement. The clarity of the text and date layout all helps to make this design work.

Vector Info Buttons

A great example of how striking interface elements can be when there is attention to detail. I love the depth of these buttons and the extremely effective use of colour.

Zhng Design

A good example of a design site with a static header. The navigation bar is effective, it follows you smoothly and allows easy movement around the site. I like the relaxed colour palette and use of typography throughout.

Discovery History

A simple but extremely effective logo for Discovery History. I like the symbolism of the peeling 'D', as if the surface is rolling back as we delve into the past. The colours work beautifully together and the textured background is great, although it won't work in every situation.

A beautifully symmetrical logo concept for Super 8 Motel. The way the letter 'S' and number '8' make their impression is amazing! The choice of colours here is interesting, the green especially. It's very dark and perhaps swallows the logo a little.

Roger Burkhard

The private site of web developer Roger Burkhard. This site features beautifully muted and retro colors along with large bold typography for an instantly impressive visual impact. Be sure to stop by the footer to check out the excellently over-sized links and contact form.
