A clean and well designed layout for a site that aims to connect design students with useful placements. The use of clear text and blocks of colour helps to solidify the sensible nature of the site. While it's not the pinnacle of design it's a great example of web design being suited to its need.

The Perfect Vacation
A great example of simple but beautiful user interface styling. I really like the attention paid to typography and the slider. The proportions here are great and immediately appeal to the eye.

A great site for an online shoe store. I love the impact that the pixelated full screen video makes when you first visit the site. The icons and illustrations work well to make a statement about the style of the company.

Xcellon
A great logo and logotype for a corporate branding exercise. I love the use of colour on the 'X' logo itself, although perhaps that could have been used as the first letter of the word. The type is clean and utterly readable, something especially important for corporate logos.

A simple but classy user interface for an iPhone app for finding and buying shoes. I like the use of standard UI elements, such as the tab bar. The background texture is clean and works to keep the interface from being too bland.

A great interface for a Formula 1 app designed specifically for the iPhone. I like the sleek styling of the menus and interface itself, while the use of a chequered flag works perfectly. The use of icons and graphic details throughout is excellent!

A gorgeous interface for a stunningly simple yet brilliant iPhone App. SynchStep analyses your pace and matches your music to your steps! The purple colour scheme is bold but works well to give the App its own character. I particularly like the use of big buttons.

An awesome site for a design agency that features a huge slideshow of previous projects. The slideshow is very effective at immersing the casual visitor to the site, while the simple yet brilliant concept of the three circles works well to get the identity of the company across. Some of the images are particularly striking!

A beautiful and original idea for a calendar that was designed for Huggies. I love the moving baby's feet concept that imitates the baby's steps to show the current day. I love the childlike and innocent look of the calendar, as if it was hand-made.

A simple yet effortlessly stylish site for a freelance web designer. I like the effective use of white and greys for the background and text, the contrast with the blue focal section is great! I particularly like the use of a split background, the textured section at the top looks good in partnership with the plain white section.

Appetites is a simply gorgeous iPad App that teaches you how to cook using luscious videos content and detailed instructions! I love the homely feel of the App and choice of wood for the background. One particular highlight is definitely the use of video photographs of the various food bloggers, it creates an amazingly immersive experience!

Squeeze Creative
An immediately intriguing site for a creative design agency. In this instance I really like the use of a static left sidebar, it allows consistently intuitive navigation of the site. The area of black space on the right seems a little pointless and negatively affects the weighting of the layout. The focal slideshow, however, is great and works hard to hold your attention!
