The logo typeface on the front is very clear and effective while the right justification of the text on the back makes it just that bit different. I also like the way they are presented on a dark wooden textured background.

This site has a nice and simple design with an attractive background and easily readable typography. Some designers make the mistake of thinking that if you do not have a lot of content, something is wrong. This site shows a small amount of content can be beautiful.

I really like the simple and effective use of tabs in this App - especially the curved \'Share\' tab. The use of user photography throughout the interface is great while the way in which Instagram previews its filter effect is also a nice touch.

This site features a beautiful, bold red color scheme and a strong layout with excellent use of whitespace. There is also a lot clever JavaScript happening here. I actually thought the site was Flash when it first loaded.

Articles is an excellent App that perfectly displays Wikipedia on your iPhone. Its simple but elegant design in combination with a very readable typeface make it a pleasure to browse through the vast array of articles available. I particularly like the intuitive design of the integrated maps feature.

These business cards are minimal, stylish, and yet retain an element of interest using the accented green colour. I particularly like the small icons used to represent phone and email, as well as the consistent typeface used throughout.

This site features some really great graphical elements. The excellently illustrated monkey character stands in front of a jQuery chalkboard with smooth transitions. This is a really nice looking page that has been kept fairly simple with content and messaging, which made room for some eye-catching artwork.

AppStorm is a great network of software blogs, and their new homepage is bright, bold, and a great jumping off point to the rest of the network. Icons work well to quickly show a visual representation of each different site.

This site is a great example of clean, corporate design that also happens to looks really nice. Note the heavy use of thin lines for content separation. The illustration is also very well done and really provides a great focal point.

Instapaper is incredibly simple, but executed to perfection. Text is crisp, well laid out, and a joy to read. Icons blend in with subtlety, and it's a wonderful place to spend some time reading and catching up on news!

Although Getting Things Done apps aren't always particularly "pretty", OmniFocus has done a remarkable job of making a beautiful iPad app. In particular, the "Forecast" and "Review" screens are particularly fantastic!

These business cards have a beautiful texture, rounded corners, and vivid colour. They certainly stand out from the norm. I particularly like the inverted use of the logo in white on the reverse of the card.

Reeder is a beautifully designed iPhone and iPad application, and has now made it to the Mac. Gorgeous brown and sepia styling makes this a fun place to read, and the devil is in the detail. Just look at the detail...

Packed with information, but still keeping a digital sheek look. iStat is a fun application for monitoring your Mac, and I love the colour scheme. A little busy in places, but a great all-round effort.

Futuristic sci-fi gameplay with a simple control structure, coupled with some really gorgeous interface styling. It's hard to pull off "space age" while retaining style, but Astronut nails it.

Things has an understated, Mac-link interface that works phenomenally well. From the simple item graphics, to the classic icons, everything looks great. Also worth noting is the fantastic "magnifying glass" effect used to highlight certain aspects of the UI.

Two strikingly different colours, but consistent styling makes these cards work really well. The whole concept just seems to "work" for me, and I love that they're presented on a wooden textured background.

Bright colours, good use of symbol, and some fascinating graphics on the front of the card. Definitely very appropriate for someone who designs characters and 3D animation!

Big, bold and red. This mock branding is a real attention-grabber, and I love the use of bold colour. The logo is surprisingly good, with the sideways heart offering a unique take on a well-known concept.
