A supremely useful App for tracking your parcels and packages! The use of colour is extremely effective and stops the App overloading you with seemingly meaningless information. The functionality of this App is amazing and its intuitive interface only serves to make it more useful.

Square is a App that allows you to quickly and securely accept card and cash payments on your iPhone. Its interface is clear and has a great feeling of space - even on the iPhone screen! I especially like the large font used for the monetary amounts and the look of the custom calculator and icons.

A classy but simple logo design that only uses black and white. The logo remains recognisable even when the colours are inverted which would be incredibly useful if you need a logo to suit any situation.

The Flickr App for iPhone is, as expected, extremely well designed. The interface is clean and understated which allows the photos to take centre stage. I particularly like the intuitive layout and clear typeface used.

The Swankolab App attempts to recreate the darkroom experience right on your iPhone and succeeds! Its interface is enticingly beautiful and like no other image editing App you\'ve ever seen. I especially like the interesting looking chemical bottles and the way your prints are hung up to dry.

A really nice looking coming soon page with fun illustrations, bright colors and a subtle depth of field illusion. It is a nice touch that the water bottle is an indicator of how complete the site is at this point.

A nice looking corporate theme that plays it safe by using a very typical but also very functional layout. The thick color bar works well and highlights the jQuery slider perfectly.

Photographer sites are best when the designer lets the photos speak for themselves by making them the largest element on the page. This designer definitely got it right. The classy minimalist design really helps highlight the work o display.

Busy textured design is not easy to pull off but this designer did a great job. I love the combination of the bright colors with the grunge textures.

An interesting take on the grid-based portfolio. I like the hover effects and the scattered client quotes. Those really help to provide comfort for potential clients who might be wary about hiring a designer they are not familiar with.

This page uses a big bold header followed by a grid of thumbnails and finally ending an oversized footer. The floral graphics in the header are unique and well done and ultimately won me over for this inclusion.
Posted in Web Design → DesignA stock art site with an illustrated storefront theme that is quite simple but works well. The layout could be a little stronger but the colors are nice and the page showcases the products effectively.

This site features bright colors and lots of oversized design elements. Particularly nice touches include the navigation buttons (stapled on), and the repeated use of small triangles throughout the design.

This site is wonderfully dark with neat lighting effects that really add to the dramatic feeling. This aesthetic really showcases the artwork well in conjunction with a nice 3D effect. The typography is really nice and original as well and utilizes cufon to bring in custom fonts.

This page features a noisy textured background with a dramatic vignette that is ideally suited to draw your attention toward the big photographs in the center. The typography on the page is quite nice and worth noting as well.
