An understated but powerful logo that makes effective use of textures. The typeface is intriguing and draws you in while the subtle contrast makes a statement. The monochrome approach could work more effectively with slightly more contrast between the text and background.

A stunning icon that manages to combine several elements in a wonderfully effective way. The nature of the application is immediately obvious from the icon, which is something I'm hugely keen on.

A stunning site that draws you in immediately through sheer intrigue. I love the use of typography and the strong and consistent colours and design. The dramatic emboldening effect that scrolling over text has gives you a strange sense of power.

A slightly under-polished, but still effective, design for a eBook widget for Android. The use of reflections helps to add depth and interest to the design, as does the shelf concept.

Twelve Saturdays
A gorgeous example of a fashion site, Twelve Saturdays makes good use of typography and intuitive design. The only issue for me is the way the footer keeps running away from you!

A brutally clean site for a seasoned graphic designer. The layout is intuitive but could use more interesting details. I do, however, like the restrained monochrome social networking icons.

Chinese Input
An excellent icon design that flourishes through its use of detail. I love the way the brush fades into nothing and the depth of the design. Good use of patterns and transparency help to bring the icon to life.
