The State of Shapes
This logo certainly makes an impact, the octopus a strong example of visual imagery. It uses a well-used format for a logo, but the mark and typeface manage to look coherent and effective.

This theme is designed perfectly for events. This theme utilizes a custom calendar system unlike any other. With Eventure, only the dates with actual events will show up, maximizing space and ease of use. I like the bold use of contrast and intuitive layout.

Angular is a responsive WordPress Theme that's perfect for a design portfolio. I love the simplicity of the theme and the clean design throughout. The way the grid responds to different browsers and zoom levels ensures that your portfolio always looks great.

Reader App
A solid icon for an iPhone app that makes good use of textures. I like the wood frame and the attention this designer has given to detail. The purpose of the app isn't entirely clear, but it'd look great on your home screen nonetheless.

Danger Room
An example of branding that makes an impact through its unique use of colour and shape. The orange of the background immediately grabs your attention, while the mark itself really works as a combination of house and detonator.

A great interface design for an iPhone app that takes a very different approach to the one taken by the majority. I like the focus on typography and texture, the custom buttons and unique styling help this app to stand out.

A simple, but effective, interface element that just works. It could be even more effective if there was a little more texture on the control itself. I like the faded lights around the outside of the knob.

A simply designed, but effective portfolio site for a graphic designer. I particularly like the size of the thumbnails in the grid layout. It's not the most original design, but it works for this purpose.

A beautiful example of an interface element, an analog control to be precise. I particularly like the attention to detail and use of lighting ideas. There's a certain perspective that helps to add depth and presence to the design.

Switchblade is a clean theme that would work well for a variety of sites, from businesses to personal portfolios. I like the customisable options (it comes with 8 pre-defined colours) and the use of icons and typography throughout.

A gorgeous example of analog UI design. I love the blue colour used throughout and the presence that the knobs have. The use of textures help to add depth to the overall design.
