A superb design for a play button that simply jumps off the screen. Admittedly, this concept would only work in a very specific style of playful interface, but it's neat nonetheless.

An excellent design for an iOS icon that's minimal yet makes a strong impact. I love the use of a single colour to grab your attention, while the juxtaposition of sharp lines and circles works well.

A gorgeous user interface that makes a great first impression, mostly due to the high level of detail. The red colour looks stunning and remains in your memory, while the dial is effortlessly enticing.
Posted in Interface → ElementA simply gorgeous iPhone app icon that's as memorable as it is detailed. I love the little textures and focus on details, while the subtle 'face' that's been created gives the icon character.

An immediately striking site for an interactive studio. I really like the effective use of black and red! The simple gallery works well to give visitors an idea of the work this studio does.

A simple but brilliant logo that immediately catches your eye. I really like the bright colours used here and the textured appearance of the tomato. The logo itself looks like it's a childish drawing, something that can be very hard to capture.

A simple but supremely effective site for an independent TED event. I like the bold and brash use of white letters on the black background, while the consistent use of colour throughout really works. The way the letters fall away and dissipate as you scroll down the site adds an extra layer of interest.

A striking home site for a graphic designer. I think the decision to keep the text at an absolute minimum unless the user requests it works really well here. Using switches helps to make it an immersive experience and further intrigue any prospective clients, although it may also put some off.
