A simple UI element for an upcoming iOS app that has a great sense of character. I love the attention to detail and use of shading to mimic lighting. I particularly like the retro feel of the gauge and the use of wood grain as the background.

An interesting fragment of a user interface, which showcases various potential wood-effect finishes. I like the detail in the grain example here and the contrast with the lighter background.
Posted in Interface → iPhone AppA great icon for a Mac app that would look gorgeous in any dock. I love the vast attention to detail and beautiful use of shapes. I particularly like that the colour yellow has been used as the primary colour, it certainly helps to mark this app out.

Bright and striking business cards that would immediately make an impact! I like the simple logo and use of colours, the brown works well on the yellow of the card. It's good that the information is displayed clearly, it's not obscure.

An amazing piece of product design that directly feeds into our interaction with our computers. I like the surprising attention to detail and beautiful craftsmanship. The engraving of the word 'gentle' on the mouse wheel is a nice touch.
Posted in Interface → OtherA clean and well though out site for a web designer. The use of a large focal header works well to draw in the attention of any potential clients. I particularly like the use of typeface throughout.

A fascinating approach to site navigation that aims to engage users through its unique and disjointed layout. I like the odd design of this site and its quirky appeal. Making a site intentionally unintuitive can sometimes work to further engage visitors, a portfolio site like this is the perfect candidate for such an experiment.

A wonderfully ingenious calendar design for an energy company. Each month is made from a comb of matches! It perfectly captures the idea of energy, and would make each day feel like a significant event.

An interesting winged logo design that makes brilliant use of texture! I love the contrast of natural ideas (like wings) with more mechanical ones (like cogs). The colour palette is subtle but works excellently, particularly over this kind of textured background.

A clean and minimal site for a UX & product designer from the Ukraine. I like the simplicity of the header and effective contrast between black and white throughout the site. A gallery of previous work is a great way to add interest and colour to your site.

Here we have a wonderfully cartoony logo for a chilled out cafe or bistro. I love the bold childlike lettering and speech bubble idea! The colours are what make this logo a really appealing proposition, they make an immediate statement about the atmosphere of the establishment.

The colour fade used here is brilliantly eye catching, I particularly like how it\'s positioned off centre. The logo itself is made by the custom typeface and interesting geometric shapes created within. The text confusion in the centre works really well and adds an element of abstraction to the overall design.

A clean and unfussy business card design that makes a straightforward statement about the philosophy of the designer! I like the bright wooden background on which it\'s displayed and the subtle colour palette used!

Not only is iHandy Level impeccably useful, it looks gorgeous too! I love the authentic spirit level feel and watching that bubble find its place, while the inclusion of an accurate digital measure is inspired. The illustrations that show you how to use the App are a nice touch and perfectly exemplify the attention to detail throughout!
