Humanovation

An unused proposal for an online magazine dedicated to innovation (Humanovation.com). I used two of the big ones that came to mind - fire and the wheel.

Froot Design

A striking site for a design agency that uses block yellow extremely effectively. I like the strong logo design and bold use of type throughout this site.

Yellow Like

This design for a like button is striking for a couple of reasons. First, the yellow colour is bold and attention-grabbing, second, the design itself is distinctive yet recognisable.

Cultural Festival

A branding project created for a school's local Cultural Festival, I love the use of colours and shapes to grab your attention. The various colours perfectly symbolise the array of cultures.

Dummy

A great logotype that really messes with your eyes! I love the impact of the yellow background and the perspective, although the word isn't particularly readable.

Jan Mense

A bright, fun, and characteristic design for a personal portfolio site. With a fun balloon animation to boot!

IPB Cards

A solid design for a business card that uses a bright yellow to grab any prospective contacts attention. The simple mark works well in combination with the branding strength of the yellow.

Galpin

A design portfolio that makes a striking impact through its use of typography and concise use of text. I like the restrained use of colour and the way the site immediately plunges you into this designers portfolio.

Rocket Lolly

A almost lickably gorgeous icon for iOS that takes its inspiration from classic rocket lollies. I love the combination of colour and texture to create a lively and dynamic design.

Emotions Logo

A strong logo that uses an interesting mark to complement a simple typesetting. I like the typeface, but it's the use of colour that makes a real impact.

Solhiguera

A bright and bold logo that makes a stunning first impression. I particularly like the typography and the level of detail here. It's a cohesive and immediately recognisable logo.

The Work of Jason Perez

A great example of a grid layout, this site is entirely consumed by a fascinating design portfolio. I love the colour variety and diversity of the images, while the black boxes add some interesting contrast to the design.

Brogdale CIC

A stunning site designed for a summer camp. I absolutely love the illustrative style, the bright colours and cartoon hills. The use of icons for the activities is a strong element and works perfectly with the colours used.

21st Century Sound

A simple but effective logo that makes great use of well recognised concepts. The wave logo works well with the purpose of the company. The colour can't help but make an impact, although I'm not sure about the overlapping sections.

Dogstudio

An interesting site for a design agency that makes a bold statement. The bright use of colours and prominent examples of recent work help to engage visitors. I particularly like the large slider and texture of the background.

Defringe

A very stripped back and clean design blog. I like the clear use of the two column layout and the muted colours of the background and text. I particularly like the use of yellow as the highlight colour.

Lemonjam

While white on yellow is a rare colour selection, possibly because of the inherent lack of contrast, this logo concept really works for me. I love the boldness of the design and how well it works with the name! While the colour makes a great impact, the lemon logo could make a stronger statement were the designer to drop the detail on the lemon segments.

Foursquare for iPhone

Foursquare is an App that makes great use of the iPhone\'s location services! I love the use of tabs and intuitive interface. The icon and badge design is what makes Foursquare so appealing, you just have to get that next badge!
