A striking site for an iPhone app developer. I like the bold and vibrant use of colour, while the way they have chosen to display recent apps is great. The use of type and description is simple but extremely effective.

A great icon concept for Xcode that uses a gorgeous colour palette. I really like the design of the hammer and the perspective given to it. The little details, such as the slightly lifted paper, really help to make this icon work.

A simple and clean portfolio site for a web designer. I like the colour palette, the orange helps to make a statement. The site very simply and quickly gets across the necessary information.

Leather Camera
A brilliant camera icon for an iPhone app or the like. I love the use of textures here, they make an incredible impact. It's interesting that the designer has moved away from reality and more towards making something tactile and unique.

The Wine Society
A great example of product design that would make you look twice. The bow tie mark is very different from the usual wine logo and makes this design easily memorable. The way the design differs for the occasion is a simple but effective idea that further lends the brand memorability.

Grand Café XL
A simply but effective site for a cafe. I particularly like the use of a coloured squares to add style and interest to the layout of the site. The photography is great and really adds something to the experience.

An excellent shopping cart element for a web based interface. I like the clear and bold buttons and the subtle use of colour. It's the little details here, like the texture on the buttons, that really make this interface design.

Nathan Rafter
A great portfolio site for a web designer that makes an immediate impact. I like the vibrant use of colour and simple layout. The only thing I'm not convinced by is what happens as you scroll over the central button, the boxes that appear look a little messy over the background.

A fascinating redesign of some icons, inspired by the iCloud icon. I like the impact that the unity of this icon collection has. The continuity and sheen of these icons helps to make them stand out.

A brilliant product redesign for the ever popular Starbucks coffee chain. I love the simplification of the the key design elements and the powerful use of the brand. The updated logo and type look fantastic and make every coffee cup a piece of subtle advertising.
