A fascinating, and fun, approach to a item that many of us use on a daily basis! I love the concept of a calendar that's printed on bubble wrap, and while it's really only for keeping track of the days it would be a great way to start each day. It's worth bearing in mind that this is the size of a large wall poster...

I really like the image toaster concept and its execution here. The bold graphic style works brilliantly and I love the attention to detail. The display and dials on the front are fascinating and conjure up pictures of oscillators!
Posted in Branding → LogoA clean and well though out site for a web designer. The use of a large focal header works well to draw in the attention of any potential clients. I particularly like the use of typeface throughout.

A fascinating site that makes a statement with its intriguing user interface. It really has to be experienced to be understood! For a fashion site like this, taking a unique approach to navigation can really help to engage visitors.

This person said they wanted round business cards, but realized that doing so meant that the cards wouldn’t fit into a typical cardholder. The solution? A perforation that allows you to rip the card so it will fit. I love the concept and find that the choice of colours here just simply 'works'.

A great site for a self confessed 'curious designer'. I really like the framing of the body of the site by a textured header and footer, they add interest but keep the content uncluttered. Using a small gallery of recent projects is a great way to add life to any design based site and immediately draws in any visitors.

Any site that is made in specific response to an event needs to make an immediate impact. The powerful use of images used here help to impress on us the urgency of the situation. It's great that this site has made it so easy, and quick, to donate.

This design and development company utilises a rather interesting user interface to engage visitors to the site. The content is laid out in a horizontal slideshow for which you can, if you like, use your arrow keys. I like the overall simplicity of the idea, although using your arrow keys is perhaps a little gimmicky.

I think they might be stretching a little bit with the pen holder idea, but who knows, it might just work! The propellor aspect is a fun idea and would definite help to make your card memorable. As for its aesthetics, I quite like the wood texture and subtle use of colour.

A brilliantly stylish and simple site a pair of industrial product, graphic, and space designers. I love the simple monochrome approach and stylised sketch as the focal point. The restrained home page works well with only three of their most recent works being shown in the gallery section.

A fascinating approach to site navigation that aims to engage users through its unique and disjointed layout. I like the odd design of this site and its quirky appeal. Making a site intentionally unintuitive can sometimes work to further engage visitors, a portfolio site like this is the perfect candidate for such an experiment.

An almost surprisingly bright and vibrant site for a design agency. The use of colour and graphical detail is fascinating and really helps to draw you into the site. It might divide opinion but it won't fail to make an impact!

Besides from being a fascinating idea for a site in itself, iwearyourshirt also has an interesting calendar interface that allows you to see which shirts will be worn on which days. I like that each day is greyed out until you scroll over it and how easy it is to see when there are days available for sale.

I really love this idea, it’s word of mouth marketing at its finest. The basic concept is that every business card you give out has a little portion that can be torn off and shared with someone else. It’s a great way to encourage your customers to recommend you!

A beautifully minimalistic site for a furniture designer. I love the straightforward use of photography and the way in which the site allows the furniture to make an impact. The purity of the site is almost striking and appeals immediately due to its clean and intuitive layout.

A beautiful and original idea for a calendar that was designed for Huggies. I love the moving baby's feet concept that imitates the baby's steps to show the current day. I love the childlike and innocent look of the calendar, as if it was hand-made.

A stunning and stylish portfolio site for a creative studio. I really the the contrast between the black header section and white body of the site. I love the bold use of graphical ideas. The sinking text and its reflections, the illustrations, and the spacious gallery.

An assembly kit for an interactive tyre calendar that was made for Dalnoboy, a large truck tyre service network. Once built you simply use the tyre markers to keep track of the days and a month marker to keep track of the month. I really like the interactive element and commitment to the concept, the pack even comes with warranty and repair details for the calendar!
