The web design here is fairly simple, just a gray background and a simple grid layout. However, the artwork on display here is remarkably attractive. Definitely a great site to add to your inspiration list!

The Wisdom of Bees is a book that uses the metaphor of a bee hive to teach practical business lessons. The wonderfully simple site features simple but perfect illustrations, a bright yellow background and well chose typography. If you watch for long enough, one of the bees flaps his wings!

Cathedral City is a website for a popular brand of cheese in Britain. I love the architecture illustrations, fisheye effect and various flying objects buzzing around the page. Overall a very attractive site that proves busy web design does not have to be ugly!

The portfolio of designer Yanis Markin. This beautiful site features excellent icon design and an oversized vertical image slider. There is also a really nice grid view that you can access by click the all designs button on the bottom of the page.

This clever site uses FourSquare to tell you if the male/female ratio is in your favor at a given location. The undoubtedly feminine site uses pink gradients and curvy fonts to clearly target the fairer gender. I love the little map graphic with a single 3D building.

This site is the portfolio of designer David Fooks. The black background and white objects contrast brilliantly and really catch your attention. Other great design elements include awesome icon design, nice and subtle dotted lines, and animated hover effects.

A very simple but attractive design that contains some nice subtle graphical flavor. I love the single pixel line and the connected flag on the left side of the page, the header that stays with you as you scroll and the unexpected flash of bright orange when you hover over a link.

Though this site contains some serious layout issues beneath the fold, I really liked the illustration style in the header. The textures and colors are mixed well to create a nostalgic feeling when you look at the page.

Scriptmatix is a software company specializing in business solutions. The layered website showcase is attractive and I like the typefaces that were used. The large red button is a bit awkwardly placed but stands out well and successfully grabs your attention.

A nice minimalist design with lots of gray and white, thick but subtle borders, and really excellent typography throughout. In addition to the strong use of fonts throughout the design, the artist has built and impressive typographic portrait of himself.

This is one of the best site designs I have come across in a while. The colors, textures, theme presentation, and button designs are all beautifully designed and come together to make a page that is completely unique and a pleasure to look at.

The layout could admittedly use a little work on this site, but i really like some of the features of the design. The icons in the top right are simple and effective, the images have a nice sliding effect on hover, and the boxes of content near the bottom of the page are very well designed.

This single page portfolio does an excellent job of organizing important information into a visual hierarchy that would be effective for potential employers and clients. The design is light and airy, with a nice CSS3 letterpress effect on the headline and a thick white border providing strong contrast between the photos and background.

This site utilizes paper textures, a mix of both serif an san serif typography, and a nice large jquery slider. The overall design is simple but effective though there is definitely room for some improvement in the layout.

This site features a beautiful retro design with an attention to detail that blows me away. All the borders and background art are really intricate and eye-catching, the typography is spot on, and the character art is excellent. Definitely one of the more successfully unique designs I have seen in a while!

I really like the letterpressed typography and mixture of soft and bold colors in this site. The brightly colored thumbnails have a nice rounded corner border and turn grayscale when you hover over them. If you stop by the site, be sure to check out the nice graphic in the footer. Another great feature is the "back to top" button that stays with you as you scroll.

Bright colors, nice typography and plenty of whitespace are the primary design features that stand out here. I really like the simple, stepped sticky note idea. These also feature a nice page curl rollover on hover.

The page design really shows off the Pixelmator interface well and features plenty of really stellar icon design examples. As you scroll down near the bottom the layout is broken up in modules to clearly delineate features.
