Another great, albeit subtle, redesign of the Sparrow iOS icon. I really like the way the background colour of the icon perfectly matches the blue colours on the paper plane. It's simple but effective.

A great example of a button for a contact section of a personal portfolio. I love the detail and the use of texture that gives the button depth and presence.

A simply stunning icon design that begs to be pressed and opened. The idea behind this iteration was to sell the icon based entirely on the texture. I love the detail throughout the design and the typography.

A simple but effortlessly effective interface for an iPhone app. I like the use of custom UI elements and the attention to detail that's gone into creating a unique feel for the app. The use of shading and subtle textures helps to add depth to the design and make it a pleasure to use.

A great switch design that stands out by using a 3D effect to make an impact. I really like the colour palette and the way the ON button appears to glow. That's a good example of colour use.

A great design for a web app counter made for a landing page for an upcoming redesign. I really like the grungy textures and the attention given to typography.

A great, albeit slight, redesign of one of Sparrows potential iOS icons. I love the crisp design of the paper airplane and the cohesion of the overall icon. There are an awful number of blue iOS icons, but Sparrow chose blue and should probably stick with it.

A great example of a problem solved with a little interaction design. If you tap and hold the taskbar or the moment you begin to swipe vertically, the taskbar instantly recesses and the apps now drop below the height of the buttons, so they are free to travel under the buttons which gives you infinite room to have active/open apps.
Posted in Interface → ElementA great icon design for a Github iPhone app. I really like the attention to detail and the crispness of the design, but I'm not sure about the rainbow colours.
Posted in Interface → iPhone AppThe developers of Sparrow, a superb mail client, are releasing their iOS app soon - but what should the icon look like? They can't decide and so went to Dribble to get feedback. There are some awesome designs here, but which is your favourite?

A clean and crisp user interface element that would work in a variety of situations. I like the brushed metal and the way the different textures work together.
Posted in →A clean icon for an iPhone app that just urges you to tap it. I like the way the shading gives shape and definition to the icon.

An excellent joystick element for an iPhone game that simply oozes with detail. The crisp lines and touchable textures help to make this joystick work visually, whether it works practically on the iPhone is another matter entirely.

A solid interface for an iPhone app that uses a cliche wooden texture but still retains a sense of simplicity and clarity. I like the Facebook and Twitter buttons, the colours immediately grab your attention.

A solid icon for an iPhone app that makes good use of textures. I like the wood frame and the attention this designer has given to detail. The purpose of the app isn't entirely clear, but it'd look great on your home screen nonetheless.
