A very different portfolio site for an individual designer that certainly bears the mark of his character. The simple navigation on the left works well to complement what could be a slightly confusing scrolling central column.

A fascinating portfolio site for a designer that asks you to use the arrow keys to navigate. While this could be a hindrance going into the future, it does give the site a unique feel.

A simply stunning site for a designer that uses a simple layout to showcase previous design projects. I particularly like the classy logo and the great use of images and typography.

A drop dead gorgeous site for a web designer that takes full advantage of HTML5. I love the illustrative style and intuitive navigation and scrolling effects. Even the way the highlight box moves as you progress down the site is a great touch.

A simple but beautifully crafted site that subtly draws you in. I love the art on the cover of the EP and the use of photography. The simple music player is a nice touch, as are the social connection links.

An incredibly vibrant and colourful site for a graphic designer. It makes an immediate statement about the personality of the designer and the style of his work. I love the simple and clean design of the portfolio gallery, it works well in contrast to the rest of the site.

This friendly looking site features a rich primary color palette and a very web 2.0 feel. The sketches over the photograph make the space more inviting and lighthearted and the use of icons really helps break up the content into manageable chucnks.

A great looking dark theme with a textured paper background and very selective uses of color. The hero on this site is the header. I love the large type and the colorful abstract vector.

This site features beautifully rich graphics, solid icon design and attractive custom fonts. I especially like that the slideshow at the top takes up the full browser width. That is a neat trick that I do not often see!

WebINK is yet another service for using better fonts on the web. Ironically enough, I think the typography could use a little work on the page but the overall design is attractive and well organized.

This site is the online portfolio of Thibaut Ninove, a freelance web designer. I love the huge header, cool color scheme, and nice button design. This site does an excellent job at grabbing your attention and not letting go.

This design features a large slideshow as the primary visual. The bright colors stand out really well against the muted gray background. Notice that the little text above the slideshow has a letterpress effect but still remains live. An excellent use of CSS to create traditional Photoshop text effects.

The online portfolio of Steven Little. The large typography is very attractive and features a subtle letterpress effect. The navigation icons in the top right are also a nice touch and feature a cool spotlight hover effect.
