PhoneGap is an open source framework for mobile apps. The site features a lot of great bits of design. The dark gray background with the square is nice, the icons are excellent and there is a seamless flow between a two and three column layout.

This site features a brightly colored header with a neat animated parallax effect on the clouds. I like the integration of the Twitter feed into the illustration as well as the offset navigation area.

Druck Deine Diplomarbeit
A really great looking site with clean lines, nice typography and excellent icon design. The treatment of the headline is particularly nice along with the large footer that contrasts heavily with the rest of the page.

Edward Dark
This unique portfolio site features sort of a dark and mysterious design. It is a bit different than the type of design we normally feature and should inspire you to consider alternate styles when creating something that really fits your personality.

Masswerks
A very clean, centered layout that focuses heavily on the image slider. The colors are perfect and there are lots of single pixel strokes that really add finesse to the overall look.

This is a neat portfolio site where you flip through a book to see the past work of the agency. The wooden background is a nice implementation of texture, the UI is great and the site is just fun to play with!

Dan Wiersema
This site features a beautiful and unique underwater theme with excellent illustrations and lighting effects. The vertical navigation is a nice touch along with the bubble over the head of the Twitter bird.

A really nice page design with tons of content but plenty of visual variation as you scroll down the page. The navigation area is very attractive and the colors used throughout the page are perfect.

A beautifully clean design utilizing a lot of contrast to draw you in. I love the dot pattern and vignette on the main image as well as the huge appstore button.

Ten18 Photography
A really nice photography portfolio design. The images at the top have an accordion-like animation when you hover over them. I like the dark theme and noisy background, which goes really well with the minimal button style containing a single pixel stroke and slightly transparent fill.

A web design blog featuring usability-focused video tutorials. The light color scheme is nice and easy on the eyes, and the layout is a good implementation of attractive minimalism.

An attractive site with a textured denim background and a nice script headline. I especially like the multi-colored bar in the header and the ribbon with the Twitter icon.

Thought and Theory
This site features a nice minimalist design theme. The homepage has little else than a vertical navigation area and a logo. The portfolio design shown above uses a simple grid and contains various sorting features. I like the typography on the site as well as the mild color scheme.

Theme Exchange is a a new site featuring and selling Magento themes. The design is nice and simple with four rounded-corner containment boxes for the content. The layout is super clean and uses bright colors to pull your attention to all the right places.

A bizarre looking site with silly illustrations of various squatty little monsters. Apart from the fun illustrations, I like the textured background, smooth curves, and relatively simple layout.

A stock art site with an illustrated storefront theme that is quite simple but works well. The layout could be a little stronger but the colors are nice and the page showcases the products effectively.

A nice looking site with a huge tilted header and an attractive black and red color scheme. I really like all of the over-sized elements, especially the icons and search box in the footer.

Pointille
An interesting site with a dark color scheme, curvy tabbed navigation and a large abstract and eye-catching plant-like illustration. There are some points that could use some work but I like the grid background and the large typography.

A fun site featuring a big furry creature with antlers for a mascot. The inset text, multi-colored background and dashed lines are also nice touches. Definitely a quirky site but original and fun!
