A relatively simple but well though-out design for a marketing agency. The consistent use of the raven idea works well to give the site a sense of unity. I generally find the colour palette works, although I'm not convinced by the orange navigation.

A simple but supremely effective site for an independent TED event. I like the bold and brash use of white letters on the black background, while the consistent use of colour throughout really works. The way the letters fall away and dissipate as you scroll down the site adds an extra layer of interest.

An absolutely intriguing site design for the Body Arts Laboratory. The major downside is the lack of immediate information regarding what the site is, but the upside is the fascinating layout. The background image would have a dramatic effect on any visitors to the site.

A beautiful site that makes incredible use of typefaces. The uncluttered single column approach works really well here, you can't help but scroll to the bottom. I particularly like that you can roll back the top layer of text, it's a very nice touch.

This is a fantastic site for a jewellery designer! I love the impact of the header and use of high quality photographs to capture the beauty of the diamonds. The way the body of the site scrolls upwards while the header remains works well here, while I particularly like the transparency of the logo.

Who's Guest is a good example of a portfolio for a graphic designer. The highlighting effect that comes into play as you scroll over each design is very effective at holding your attention. I like the faded photographic background but find the overall alignment of the site doesn't quite work for me.

A fascinating site for a graphic/web designer. It manages to make you genuinely feel like he's sitting right in front of you. I like the simplicity of the site although some of the sporadic aspects, the 'Like' box for example, can make it feel a little messy.

I love how striking the graphic style of this site is. It can't fail to draw you in and further intrigue your creative mind. The typeface is excellent and really makes a strong statement alongside the unique, and surreal, illustrations.

A bold HTML5 site for a web designer that has clearly had a lot of attention given to it. I like impact that the header makes and clear way the site leads you through. A good example of a how a single column layout can work.
