An absolutely beautiful site with an amazing rendering of a swiss army knife comprised of design tools. The page has been really stripped of content to highlight the large graphic. The site offers a cool freebies section that you should check out as well!

A nice looking grid-based portfolio that changes color every time you refresh the page. The hover effects drop the color overlay and show the artwork in its true form. A nice effect that really brings focus to where the mouse is.

A very simple design that relies heavily on typography and bold, oversized statements. The Dribbble and Sketchbook portions are definitely the highlight of the page as they bring in some much needed imagery.

A dead-simple design that is quite attractive while featuring little else that a large slideshow of recent work. I particularly like the subtle 3D effect that has been applied to the boxes at the bottom of the page.

Posted in Web Design → PortfolioThis site is an absolutely beautiful online store selling icons. The theme is a set of shelves and every icon set is displayed in a custom box design. The Photoshop work here is fantastic and you really must click through and check it out.

This site uses a simple but effective design with a jQuery slider header and another for the content area. The use of sliders allowed the designer to cram a ton of content on a single page in a nicely designed manner.

I like the boldness of the design here with the huge letters and colored circle. The single page format is nice as well, as you click to each section you can see that it was given as much attention and thought as the first.

This site uses a giant iPad to display the designer portfolio. To mimic the functionality of the real iPad, you click and swipe to advance to the next image; a clever idea!

This site features a flying sea turtle island with a windmill on its back. How cool is that? In addition to this crazy graphic, I like the textured background and use of all caps in the headers.

This site reminds of the first hints of minimalism in the 90s. I like the bold contrast and variation between the thick and thin lines. The modular format is interesting too and can be rearranged to your preferences.

This page is both incredibly fun and incredibly beautiful. The textures, color and illustrations are all perfectly executed and the tiki theme is hilarious. I love the Twitter bird with the mask and the little animated guys at the bottom of the page.

The design above is a really great looking under construction page from the awesome designer Claudiu Cioba. I love the typography and the use of circles in the design. The overall effect is classy but in an aged sort of way.
