Who's Guest is a good example of a portfolio for a graphic designer. The highlighting effect that comes into play as you scroll over each design is very effective at holding your attention. I like the faded photographic background but find the overall alignment of the site doesn't quite work for me.

A fascinating portfolio site for one Elliot Lepers. The site is really something the must be experienced to be understood, the tiles moving and shifting as you browse the page! The barrage of colour and design is awesome and immediately makes an impact!

A clear and intuitively designed gallery and marketplace for CSS designs. The attention to detail and awareness of texture is great! I find the simple use of a fading background and single typeface allows the designs in the gallery to grab your attention!

This gorgeous site is the personal portfolio of designer Jose Alonso. I love the unique slideshow of his previous projects and the bold statement made by the header! The rest of the site is just as well thought out and features some delightful icon design!

An relatively subdued site for an interesting web and iPhone App. The two tone background works well and allows the visitor to immediately take in the important stuff before heading on the the rest of the content. I love the custom Twitter, Facebook and Youtube icons!

A straightforward site that aids you in converting PSD\'s to HTML and CSS. The layout and design is adequate for a primarily functional site and does make good use of graphic illustrations. Good use of a solid typeface goes a long way towards holding a visitors attention!

An inspirational site that aims to connect growers to people with land to share! The use of colour here is excellent and really draws your eye to where it needs to be. I love how within seconds you understand the Landshare concept without even trying - a great sign of clever web design! I particularly like the Landshare logo and encouraging members ticker!

A themeforest page for a Paradise Proffesional xHTML Template. Themeforest is a good looking site and this particular entry effectively uses a single image to get across the vital stats of their template. I like the custom design of the RSS, Twitter, and Facebook links.

A clear and stylish corporate web design with excellent custom icons and an animated header. I like the clean layout of the site and its colour swatch. The animated white dots (while essentially superfluous) are a nice detail.

This site is a crazy combination of animation, illustration and unique design. It is absolutely beautiful to behold so be sure to stop by and have a look.

This great design features lots of big, bold elements that are really quite stunning. The most impressive feature here is how well the design automatically reflows itself when you narrow the browser window size. Some of the best fluid layout work I have seen!

Commonwealth is a system that allows you to easily create skins for your preferred CMS. The site design is nice and clean with an attractive photographic background and excellent color choices.

A nice side scrolling site with a modular format containing several boxes of content displayed on a dark background. There is a nice fusion here of typography and photography and several small examples of good design that lend to the whole.
Posted in Web Design → DesignA great looking page that serves as the portfolio for an icon designer. I like the cloud theme, the smooth slider and how the moon in the logo changes to a house on hover. Lots of great design work here.

This site builds a selection of books for you instantly as you type in a query. The design is very much like that of the Apple iBooks interface with a nice wooden bookshelf that displays cover art, often with a Kindle peeking out from behind the book.

A nice bold design with lots of big elements. Normally I would not be crazy about using all caps through the entire site but it works well here with the bold condensed font.

This site uses a bold color spectrum and some nice but subtle particle animations in the background. I like the simplicity of the typography-centric design and how the content fades out and in when you switch pages.

This site is fantastically unique in just about every way possible. From the crazy illustrated background to the original 3D ribbon navigation area, it all has a high quality custom feel that is hard to find and easy to appreciate.

A nice mix of serious and goofy design. The illustrated characters are quite silly and informal while the layout and other graphical elements remain professional and structured.

A nice looking professional site with plenty of bright color and graphics that really grab you. I love the incorporation of the logo into the scene and the little shadow under the icons that make them appear to float.
