A great example of a grid layout, this site is entirely consumed by a fascinating design portfolio. I love the colour variety and diversity of the images, while the black boxes add some interesting contrast to the design.

A simply gorgeous site for a Javascript conference. I really like the typography and illustrative style here. The intuitive layout is great, as is the restrained use of text and information - it's easy to get the idea.

A beautiful site for a designer specialising in 'handcrafted' design. I love the illustrations, they really bring the site to life. I particularly like the colour palette, it's different enough to make a statement.

A vibrant and instantly striking site for an entertainment agency. I really like the consistently colourful design and use of graphic illustrations to contrast with the photography. It's immediately obvious what this company does, one of the key signs of a well designed site.

This site has a giant, animated purple octopus hanging upside down from the top of the screen. Enough said. The colors and design elements are actually really attractive, I love the messy circle effect used in the graphics below the header.

A great looking site with a nice big image slider and beautiful typography. I really like the color scheme and the simple nature of the icons near the bottom of the page. Overall, a really great design.

This page showcases some really creative design talent and a unique concept. I like the illustrated look of the typography and the giant lightbulb. The bright colors and rich texture also round out the design very nicely.

A bizarre looking site with silly illustrations of various squatty little monsters. Apart from the fun illustrations, I like the textured background, smooth curves, and relatively simple layout.
