A simply superb portfolio site for a designer and illustrator in Vancouver, BC. I love the total lack of descriptive text, it helps to intrigue you further and draw you in.

A very different portfolio site for an individual designer that certainly bears the mark of his character. The simple navigation on the left works well to complement what could be a slightly confusing scrolling central column.

A great portfolio for a designer that makes a distinct impact. I really like the colour scheme and the use of icons and imagery. The typography is also an effective tool to convey the stylistic ideas of the designer.

I really like the layout and design of this particular site, especially the illustration on the left that only becomes entirely clear after you realise it's a site for a mobile massage company. The colour palette is great, while the iconography makes a real statement.

A gorgeous design site that's simply there to get some free design elements out there! I love the intuitive layout and snapshots of different design and UI elements, while the man with the pipe adds a certain character to proceedings.

A fascinating portfolio site for one Elliot Lepers. The site is really something the must be experienced to be understood, the tiles moving and shifting as you browse the page! The barrage of colour and design is awesome and immediately makes an impact!

A great looking site that features a wide variety of Photoshop backgrounds, patterns, textures, and graphics. I love the way the greyed out Facebook, Twitter, and RSS icons spring into colour as you scroll over them! The site is intuitively laid out and features a nice section for seeing the most popular tags!

A really colorful design with a nice spectrum background and a really clean layout. I like how the background is fixed while the items scroll, it makes everything on the page seem as if it were floating. I also like the dark header, it really stands out well from the rest of the page.

An interesting site with a dark color scheme, curvy tabbed navigation and a large abstract and eye-catching plant-like illustration. There are some points that could use some work but I like the grid background and the large typography.

Providing information all the places that serve alcohol in Austin, Drink Up Austin is a colourful, playful design that matches it's purpose well. Certain aspects of the colour scheme feel a little garish at first, but the design feels natural as you navigate around. Contrast is used well to draw your attention to certain elements of the design.
