This site presents an interesting mix of grunge textures and modern design elements. I love the shadows under the portfolio items and the faux sticker look.

A really nice freelance design portfolio with a solid layout and some fun illustrations. I really appreciate how well thought the entire page is from top to bottom. The area above the footer is just as nice as the header.

A nice looking portfolio page that uses a shelf effect and an image slider to really show of the work well. I am not crazy about the giant sticky and would like to see more of the chalk drawing behind it but otherwise I think the designers have done a great job.

Theory Design is the online portfolio of Ryan McCaster, a designer from Vancouver. The rough texture watercolor background is the star of this site, perfectly accented by all of the inset letterpress effects on the graphical elements.

A well designed portfolio with an attractive black and white theme. When you hover over one of the thumbnails the picture is shown in color. A nice effect!

This is a really unique portfolio site. I love that the designer took a grainy photo and just went with that aesthetic. The typography is brilliant and the page looks outstanding. A really awesome spin on minimalist design!

This unique portfolio site features sort of a dark and mysterious design. It is a bit different than the type of design we normally feature and should inspire you to consider alternate styles when creating something that really fits your personality.

This is a neat portfolio site where you flip through a book to see the past work of the agency. The wooden background is a nice implementation of texture, the UI is great and the site is just fun to play with!

A really nice photography portfolio design. The images at the top have an accordion-like animation when you hover over them. I like the dark theme and noisy background, which goes really well with the minimal button style containing a single pixel stroke and slightly transparent fill.

This site features a nice minimalist design theme. The homepage has little else than a vertical navigation area and a logo. The portfolio design shown above uses a simple grid and contains various sorting features. I like the typography on the site as well as the mild color scheme.

This site features great contrast, beautiful typography and lots of really nice subtle design touches. I really lie the dark, noisy background and the gallery of portfolio pieces. There is also a bit of an Easter Egg in the site, can you find it?

The graphic design portfolio of M. Muller. I really like the simplicity of this site. It is essentially just a headline and a large slideshow. The animated beakers in the background are a really nice touch and there is a 3D effect that takes place when you move your mouse.

I love the painted watercolor landscape background and the letterpress headline. Other great features of this design include the staggered portfolio pieces and beautiful tabbed image slider near the bottom.

This site features a really nice oversized header with a dark, noisy background, thin typography and tons of negative space. The content below is divided into clean, rounded corner boxes broken up into three columns. Stop by the work page to see a nice two column portfolio layout.

This single page portfolio does an excellent job of organizing important information into a visual hierarchy that would be effective for potential employers and clients. The design is light and airy, with a nice CSS3 letterpress effect on the headline and a thick white border providing strong contrast between the photos and background.

The portfolio of Charlie Gentle, a Web Developer working in Nottingham, UK. The dark background contrasts nicely with the large white typography and the white sketchy elements. I am a sucker for side scrolling sites so this one gets a bonus for using this method. Also, as you scroll through the site, the bokeh at the top is animated with a 3D parallax effect that is just excellent.

This site is the web portfolio of designer Simon Foster. Heavy use of contrast, over-sized headline, and planetary graphic come together to make this design a winner. Also, the font choices are just perfect to compliment the graphical style.
