This site features a flying sea turtle island with a windmill on its back. How cool is that? In addition to this crazy graphic, I like the textured background and use of all caps in the headers.

This site reminds of the first hints of minimalism in the 90s. I like the bold contrast and variation between the thick and thin lines. The modular format is interesting too and can be rearranged to your preferences.

This page is both incredibly fun and incredibly beautiful. The textures, color and illustrations are all perfectly executed and the tiki theme is hilarious. I love the Twitter bird with the mask and the little animated guys at the bottom of the page.

This page showcases some really creative design talent and a unique concept. I like the illustrated look of the typography and the giant lightbulb. The bright colors and rich texture also round out the design very nicely.

One Page Wonders is a really unique looking web design gallery showcasing single page sites. The treatment of the page previews is really nice: I love the large vertical thumbnails and the ticket theme.

A nice looking site with lots of contrast and a primarily grayscale color theme. I like the big graffiti piece with the subtle use of texture and the logo badge in the upper left.

The design above is a really great looking under construction page from the awesome designer Claudiu Cioba. I love the typography and the use of circles in the design. The overall effect is classy but in an aged sort of way.

A nice minimal design with a heavy emphasis on the work being displayed. The page was designed using the 960.gs and has a super tight alignment that really gives it that clean and modern feel.

This site is the portfolio of designer and student Chris Kinsey. The mixture of bold condensed and script fonts in the headline is a really nice combination. I also like the color scheme and the refreshingly different layout of the thumbnails and descriptions.

This page header is bursting with awesome graphics screened and faded onto the background texture. I like the mixture of city and nature graphics in the same space. This reinforces the coexistence element of the message.
