This is a site that makes an immediate impact through the use of type, and a lack of alternative focal points. The strong landing page allows people a simple way into the site and encourages them to delve deeper.

Brushed Aluminum UI
A clean and functional UI that just works. I like the use of a single colour to help bring out certain elements. The simple glow of the on button works well to distinguish it.

A supremely stylish logotype that makes an immediate impact. I love the way the type has been set, so that it fits effortlessly within the circle. I also particularly like the colours, they give the logo a strong presence.

A great example of an admin panel for a web app. I love the attention to detail throughout and the abundance of clean design ideas. The sparing use of colour helps to highlight key elements.

A drastically simple logo mark that's solely focused on a single letter. I like the interesting shape of the type and the recessed setting. The faint circles that surround the mark could work more effectively if they were slightly more noticeable.

A relatively functional site for a web designer that uses a rather nifty gallery structure. I like the character of the site, the ideas of the designer come across very clearly. It also makes it very simple to view particular portfolio designs.

An interesting take on the Facebook 'Like' button that displays a clear sense of style. The colour palette works really well to give this element character. It could be even better if the different elements were fused together in a more realistic setting.

Margo Stilley
An almost ridiculously basic site that serves as a homepage for an actor. The bonus of having a site this plain is that the navigation is clear, as are the contact details. I rather like the simple nature of the single still photograph, it actually helps this site to stick in your mind.

A great restaurant icon for an iPhone app that uses some classic imagery to convey its purpose. I like the use of a checked tablecloth and the detail in the design, although the perspective seems slightly off.
