This site has a ton of detail work that is really nice. There are lots of subtle effects in textures, strokes, shadows and points of color that really finish off the design nicely.

A nice bold design with lots of big elements. Normally I would not be crazy about using all caps through the entire site but it works well here with the bold condensed font.

Bright color and bold typography make this design a definite winner. I love the unique idea for displaying the services being offered and the large social links at the bottom.

This site uses huge typography in the header to make a unique statement and grab your attention. The layout is nice and clean with bold use of contrast throughout. Overall a beautiful site.

This site is the portfolio of designer and student Chris Kinsey. The mixture of bold condensed and script fonts in the headline is a really nice combination. I also like the color scheme and the refreshingly different layout of the thumbnails and descriptions.

This site uses attractive typography and bold contrast as the main features of the aesthetic style. I like the rough painted edge of the header and the mixture of old style and slab serif typography.

The layout is basically a simple grid of thumbnails but I really like how the designer styled it. The thumbnail treatments is really nice and I like the oddly thin column of images on the textured background.

An attractive site with plenty of whitespace and a nice wooden background. I like the little arrows and paths drawn over the background as well as the continuing theme in the image slider.

I cannot decide if this site is hideous or beautiful, but it is certainly unique! The out of control illustrations cover every inch of the long homepage and the head of the monster at the top pops off and stays with you as you scroll!

This site has a wonderfully unique design that plays heavily on the title and uses a ribbon coming out of a blender as a banner for text. I love the color scheme, original concept and slight background animations.

This site features some beautiful typographical artwork that has a cool depth of field illusion. Notice how heavily the designer uses contrast to grab your attention in both the header, main image, and dark inset type.

This site utilizes very subtle amounts of texture in the background, large thumbnails, minimalist icons and awesome web type. I particularly like the shadow treatment on the gallery thumbnails as well as the script font used on the active state of the navigation.

This site uses lots of rich textures and beautiful colors to create a really attractive theme. The grunge effects are applied in jsut the right amount and in just the right places and the icons are kept simple to fit in with the overall feel of the page.

Panoetic uses a textured backgrounds and lots of random but interesting artwork scattered around the page to achieve and almost scrapbook-ish look. The animating thumbnail hover effect is particularly fun to play with and kept me busy for a solid thirty seconds trying to activate all of them at once.

This friendly looking site features a rich primary color palette and a very web 2.0 feel. The sketches over the photograph make the space more inviting and lighthearted and the use of icons really helps break up the content into manageable chucnks.

This simple but stunning web page uses high contrast graphics and deep colors to grab your attention. The hot air balloon is a nice touch and I love that big headline with heavily recessed type.

A really great looking portfolio page with super thin typography, a subtle background texture and even a little bit of humor. I love the contrast of the yellow on the black. These two colors always make a bold statement when combined and the result here is a fairly classy theme.
