A simple but effective gallery site that showcases free premium design and web resources for designers. I like the grid layout and space given to images of the designs, while the green and grey colour scheme works to complement the clean ethos of the site.

A bold and engaging site for a digital agency that specialises in creative design. I love the slider and the contrast between black and white. The three column layout below the slider works well, although it's a little text heavy.

A gorgeous portfolio site for the Foundry multidisciplinary design studio. I love the impact that the site makes, the huge examples of design work filling your consciousness. The combination of colours, textures, and typefaces make this a fascinating thing to behold.

Cascade Brewery
This awesomely original site is a beautiful example of great web design. The unique layout, superb retro illustrations, dark colors and aged textures are all spot on. You really have to stop by the site and see it live to appreciate it.

BrainBrain
This site uses bold colors and simple graphics with a high level of eye-catching contrast. When you reload the page the color of the site changes along with the shirts the guys are wearing. I love the integration of the live map into the bottom of the page, an awesome touch!

Ian Mintz
The watercolor illustration of clouds on this site is quite beautiful and interestingly combined with origami birds for an altogether unique look. I like the single-page nature of the site and how the content for other pages scrolls in via jQuery instead of additional page loads.

Busy textured design is not easy to pull off but this designer did a great job. I love the combination of the bright colors with the grunge textures.
